Mat On Guard Wireless Pressure Mat Systems

Welcome to Mat on Guard.

We are a small family owned business specialising in dementia aids and carer support products.   From our own experience of close family members Alzheimer’s diagnosis and journeys, we understand the impact this has on both the patient AND the family and a carer.

Our range of floor pressure sensor mats are engineered and designed to help to give peace of mind to home carers or nursing staff.  Ideal for use with someone with dementia, Alzheimer’s,  special needs or cognitive loss, elderly patients or any family member being cared for at home or in a care setting.  Installation and ease of use is simple, our range of pressure mat solutions offer a practical and cost effective alert system to help assist patient safety, aiding management of movement and providing awareness of patient wandering. That said, our products are designed as supplementary alert aids, they are not a substitute for professional medical care, constant supervision or other patient safety measures.

A small radio transmitter is connected to the pressure mat which sends a signal to the receiver chime units (portable or plug-in) when the pressure mat is activated.

Positioning the mat at the side of a bed or at a door entrance/exit , under a floor mat, it will announce to the carer or family, with a chime, each time, that the patient has  stepped out of bed and is attempting to walk away or is wandering.

The unique design of our product allows for the use of multiple pressure mats to be joined together for double exit beds or in different areas in a room or to create one larger area for alerts.
